Privacy Policy
Last updated August 10, 2026
This policy explains what information Ombrin collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to ombrin.com and the Ombrin service. Ombrin is operated by Masas Technologies, LLC (131 Continental Dr, Newark, DE 19713, United States), the data controller for the information described here.
1. Information you give us
- Account information: your name, email address, password or third-party sign-in identifier, and company name.
- Billing information: your billing name, address, tax identifiers, and subscription history. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.
- Website information: the domains you connect, the credentials, API keys, or integration tokens you provide so Ombrin can read and publish to your site, and any settings you configure.
- Support and other communications: messages you send us, including any information you choose to include in them.
2. Information we collect automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, actions taken in the product, and timestamps.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 8.
3. Information we collect about your website
To do its job, Ombrin retrieves and stores information about the websites you connect. This includes page content and metadata, search rankings, crawl and index data, performance and traffic metrics from analytics or search accounts you connect, and the responses that third-party AI assistants give to queries relevant to your business.
This information is generally about your business rather than about individuals. If it happens to contain personal information (for example, author names on your pages, or personal data inside an analytics account you connect), we process it on your behalf as your service provider or processor, and you remain responsible for having a lawful basis to share it with us.
4. How we use information
- To provide the service: analyzing your site, tracking rankings and AI answers, generating and publishing improvements, and reporting on results.
- To operate accounts, process payments, and provide customer support.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and fraud, and debug problems.
- To improve the service, including measuring which features are used and how they perform.
- To send service messages and, where permitted, product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to secure, support, and improve the service), consent (where required, such as for certain cookies or marketing email), and compliance with legal obligations.
6. AI processing
Ombrin uses third-party AI providers to analyze content and generate page improvements. Content from your website, along with related context, may be sent to those providers to produce results. We use providers under agreements that prohibit using your content to train their models, and we do not submit your account credentials or billing information to them.
7. How we share information
- Service providers: hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring, analytics, customer support tooling, and AI providers. Each is bound to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Search and AI platforms: where you connect an account, we exchange data with that platform on your instruction.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to your information.
A current list of subprocessors is available on request at privacy@ombrin.com.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the site and keep you signed in, plus analytics cookies that help us understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it. Backups are deleted on a rolling schedule.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access to production systems. Credentials and integration tokens you provide are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
11. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. California residents may also request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may not be discriminated against for exercising their rights.
To make a request, email privacy@ombrin.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. If we process information on behalf of one of our customers, we will refer your request to that customer.
13. Children
Ombrin is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the product before the changes take effect.
